I’m not at risk of further immediate harm
Go to a place where you feel safe. If this isn’t possible and/or you’re scared, call a friend so they can come and be with you.
If you think you might be in shock, make sure you are somewhere warm and tell somebody so that they can keep an eye on you.
Use the information in Pathways to help you decide if you want to report the incident to the police or the University and to find out about where you can get support.
I need urgent medical help
On campus: contact Security (0208 411 6200) or go to the security desk in the Quad and ask them to call an ambulance (Security staff are available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week).
Off campus: call 999 and ask for an ambulance or go to Accident & Emergency (A&E) at your nearest hospital.
(I think) I need emergency contraception
If you need emergency contraception, there are several options available and it is possible to get contraception five days/120 hours after the incident. Click here for more information.
You can purchase emergency contraception (“the morning after pill”) over the counter at your local pharmacy (if you’re under 25 years old, this is free).
